1. Economic Empowerment and Enterprise Development Program:
The interventions in this program of SANGAT are focused on community economic empowerment. The community economic empowerment is a process by which local communities build organizations and linkages that interconnect profitable business with their needs including skills and education, health, housing and social development. SANGAT involves the poorest of the poor to social inclusion and capacity building to fight hunger and poverty through creating employment creation options. SANGAT has conducted 4 enterprise development training and trained 119 entrepreneurs. SANGAT has also conducted 7 technical trainings and trained 79 young entrepreneurs in following trades:
Stitching
Beautician
Paper making
Paper product making
Computer skills
Driving
Candle making
SANGAT incubated different business at community level for 50 poorest of the poor families and provided on job technical support to all beneficiaries of the program.
2. SANGAT Vocational Center for Women
SANGAT is running a vocational center for women. Women learn sewing and embroidery. There is space for twenty students at a time. SANGAT got financial support for the center from local philanthropist.
